Blue Plaques Talk Back

The iconic Blue Plaques span the centuries and celebrate all avenues of industry, creativity, science, politics and ideas.

 

There are currently around 1,000 Blue Plaques in London all of which have stories to tell. 

 

With the Blue Plaques Talk Back series Storystock Sounds is creating a collection of site-specific audio walks telling the stories behind the Blue Plaques of London. 

 

We have been commissioned to bring various areas of London to life using the Blue Plaques as portals and points of reference, taking the listener from plaque to plaque whilst giving context and background to the surrounding neighbourhood. It is something for tourists and residents alike, young and old.  A unique and insightful way to discover hidden gems of London.

 

The walk is guided by a narrator and tells the stories of each specific area while the famous residents from across the centuries are given voice by actors from today including Juliet Stevenson, Danny Huston, Penelope Wilton and Dominic West among others.
